BT Inspiration telephone system

BT Inspiration can be used as a switchboard operated system or incoming calls can be routed directly through to extensions, which gives everyone the option to answer the call from any phone. As well as features that you'd expect from a modern telephone system like hold and transfer calls internally, music on hold and speed dialling, BT Inspiration also has features usually associated with larger telephone systems.

By far the best features offered are external transfer and divert facilities, which make transferring calls to any off-site telephone very simple. With the divert feature calls can be routed directly to an external number of your choice for example a mobile phone a home telephone or an answering service.

BT Inspiration is a flexible system as it can also be used with standard telephones, however the more dedicated Feature Phones you use, the easier it becomes to operate the BT Inspiration system.

The BT Inspiration Voicemail is a one port system providing a maximum of 18 mailboxes and 1 central answering machine. Message and greeting storage capacity is 80 minutes.

Callers to an extension with a mailbox can leave a message if their call is unanswered or if the extension is busy. Users who have a mailbox can also divert all calls to their voicemail and access it locally and remotely by using PIN security. Calls may be monitored using the Featurephone facility to assess whether they should be answered immediately. All messages are time & date stamped.

The BT Inspiration PSTN Line Card is a card that adds two analogue lines to the existing system.

The BT Inspiration ISDN upgrade card gives your analogue BT Inspiration system ISDN capabilities in conjunction with the BT Inspiration 2 channel ISDN card (as below).

The BT Inspiration 2 channel ISDN card gives you two ISDN lines, but it requires the BT Inspiration ISDN Upgrade card (as above) to be installed.

The BT Inspiration expansion card allows the BT Inspiration control unit to have up to 6 lines and 18 extensions.

The BT Inspiration BBU is a battery back up unit, which prevents the loss of the systems settings in the event of a power failure.
